Oh, these holidays! Two months of complete idleness, walking, clubs, beaches, the sun. . . It is hard to believe that September is coming. Tuning into a working mood is difficult even after a month of vacation. When you get used to something, it is sometimes difficult to switch to something radically opposite. After the summer holidays, we just cannot immediately integrate into the learning process. We are going to talk about those who like to relax – it is difficult for them to return to day-to-day work. 1. Make a plan

Everybody loves surprises and unpredicted circumstances, but it is strongly recommended to prepare a plan. Make a plan and decide what you will do in the first working days. Moreover, write down the daily tasks for the whole first week. However, compose it in a “gentle” mode. Do not plan to write two essays and speak at the conference at the first day. In addition, do not forget to leave some breaks in your plan. It will be your time to relax.
Life with a schedule, perhaps, is boring, but without it, you will not get back to studying without problems. In drawing up the personal schedule, follow a few rules:

  • Always wake up at the same time (downed sleep is a serious problem, which has spoiled the lives of many students);
  • Take time for a walk, reading a book or other favorite activities (let it be at least 30 minutes, but they should be);
  • Define the hours of self-studying (Take a book on their specialization even if seminars have not started yet. Read this book, it will be useful);
  • Divide the load evenly, even if the schedule in high school is not conducive, (two seminars per day can be supplemented with a few hours in the library. However, if you have five lectures a day, just relax after that).

2. Daily regime

During the summer holidays, you are relaxed and used to go to bed late and wake up late. Often in the first days of September, you cannot wake up quickly. To avoid this problem, you should get used to new “learning” regime. Go to bed at the time that you go during the studying period. The awakening is getting more and more difficult. You should be gradual. Set the alarm half an hour earlier a couple of days, then on the hour and then at the half more.

3. Turn on the brains

It sounds weird, but you should turn on your brains before the study. For example, start reading. In particular, if you were lying on the sofa (on the beach, in a hammock, etc.) on vacation you have to learn how to study again. So start training your brain to studying again. You can start with literature and then continue with the thematic magazines, blogs, correspondence, etc.

4. Set the mood for the whole day

In the morning, set a great song on your music alarm, prepare a good breakfast, on the way to the university try to listen to the music. Choose something energetic, with a clear rhythm, but only the one that you like. It will help to cheer up, to tune into the active working mood and your effectiveness will be improved.

5. Relax

It is not necessary to engage in household chores such as cleaning, cooking and other things in the first weekend after you will return to work. Moreover, it is better to walk more, go to the cinema or just visit your friends or relatives. This will reduce the stress after the first working week.

6. Diet

Proper diet will accelerate the adaptation to a workaday regime. Do not miss a lunch break, because the timely delivery of calories and vitamins supports the body during a forced restructuring of activity. Moreover, you should refrain from high-calorie food, which makes body sleepy. Chocolate and pastries allow the brain to give an immediate boost of energy, but this is a short-term effect: Soon, after the use of such energetics, the sugar level in blood drops even lower.

It is better to restore depleted energy on the holidays with the help of low-fat cheese, apples, bananas, broccoli, potatoes and pumpkin seeds. It is also a good idea to enrich the meal with flavored herbs such as celery, basil, dill and cilantro. Doctors advise eating boiled fish as much as possible. Oily fish contains amino acids, which increase the efficiency. Try to add lemon juice to fish (a teaspoon per serving), vegetables and plenty of spices. Cinnamon, thyme, red pepperinvigorate both literally and figuratively. You can prepare a mixture of dry spices and add it up to your taste to all of your dishes.

7. Be motivated

Find a suitable motivation: personal or professional development, communication with colleagues, future professional success. This will help you to integrate into the work immediately.
