There are tons of reasons why people like math. Firstly, it makes your life easier (really!). Secondly, real-worl math always starts with a riddle. (We bet you might think it starts with some dumb definitions, followed by some boring numbers, from which you get a mildly interesting result.)
Do you use the word “beautiful” in connection with mathematics? I guess not. Mathematical beauty, however, does exists, yet can be revealed by those who’re deeply involved into math.
